Kumar Amit Urges BSL Management to Address Issues of Footpath Shopkeepers, Workers, Youths

Bokaro: BJP State Working Committee member Kumar Amit met with Bokaro Steel Plant’s Executive Director (Personnel and Administration), Rajan Prasad, to submit a memorandum addressing various public concerns. Amit highlighted issues affecting contract labourers, unemployed youth, footpath shopkeepers, and displaced individuals.

Amit discussed several demands, including the implementation of the Centre’s Street Vendor Act for footpath vendors, providing non-controversial land for a Transport Nagar in Bokaro, reserving Class IV posts for displaced and local youths, and offering apprenticeship training to local students similar to Rourkela Steel Plant. He also urged the management to provide affordable electricity and water to slum dwellers, ensure employment for sportspersons under the sports quota, and outsource health centres to private hospitals.

Additionally, Amit requested the management not to harass footpath vendors in the guise of an anti-encroachment drive and to focus on resolving these issues. Executive Director Rajan Prasad assured Amit that these concerns would be taken seriously and positive initiatives would be considered.

Besides others Chief General Manager Kundan Kumar and other BJP leaders, including Karan Gorai, Lalbabu, and Chandraprakash were present during the meeting.
