*Over 10 lakh govt jobs provided to youth in last 1.5 years: PM Modi*
New Delhi: Prime Minister Narendra Modi distributed more than 71,000 appointment letters to new government recruits on Monday via video conference, marking a significant milestone in the government’s employment efforts.
Addressing the recipients, PM Modi shared that nearly 10 lakh government jobs have been created for India’s youth in the past 18 months. He emphasized that the Rozgar Mela initiative, aimed at providing jobs across various ministries and institutions, has been a central focus of the government’s efforts for over a decade.
Modi reiterated the importance of harnessing India’s youth potential, stating that the nation’s progress is powered by the strength and leadership of young people. He also underlined that youth empowerment is at the core of policies like Make in India, Atmanirbhar Bharat, Startup India, Standup India, and Digital India.
The Prime Minister further highlighted reforms in the space and defense sectors, which have provided new opportunities for young Indians. He expressed confidence in the nation’s vision to build a developed India by 2047, with youth driving its future growth.
