Mithila Sanskritik Parishad Unveils Culturally-Rich 2025-26 Panchang Calendar in Bokaro

Bokaro: The Mithila Sanskritik Parishad, a prominent cultural organization representing the Maithil community in Bokaro, officially launched its annual Panchang Calendar for the year 2025-26 on Wednesday evening. The unveiling ceremony took place at the Vidyapati Auditorium of Mithila Academy Public School, located in Sector 4.

The event saw active participation from council members and dignitaries, with the launch being conducted by Council President Jai Prakash Chaudhary and General Secretary Neeraj Chaudhary. This year’s calendar holds special significance as it incorporates dates and festivals from the traditional Mithila Panchang alongside those in English and Hindi.

Speaking at the event, the council officials highlighted that the calendar not only marks important religious and cultural occasions such as marriages, Upanayan, and Mundan ceremonies, but also includes information on significant pilgrimage destinations and regional festivals. In addition, it features a visual showcase of notable achievements of the Mithila Academy Public School, which is managed by the council.

President Chaudhary emphasized the importance of maintaining social harmony and cultural pride, urging the community to remain united in promoting Mithila’s rich heritage.

The event was graced by key members of the council including Board of Directors Convenor Rajendra Kumar, Board Members Krishna Chandra Jha and Vijay Kumar Jha, Deputy General Secretaries Mihir Kumar Jha and Avinash Jha Avi, Finance Secretary Mihir Mohan Thakur, Cultural Secretary Vivekanand Jha, Organization Secretary Anand Mishra, and several other distinguished guests and community members.

The calendar, an annual highlight for the local Maithil community, continues to serve as a cultural bridge, connecting traditions with contemporary relevance.
