Bangladeshi National Caught in Bokaro, Infiltration Suspected

Bokaro, Jharkhand: Tension gripped Jhabra village under the Chandankiyari police station limits on Saturday night after locals spotted a group of suspicious individuals roaming the area under the cover of darkness. When villagers began assembling to confront them, the group fled, but residents managed to apprehend one suspect and promptly handed him over to the police.

Preliminary investigation identified the arrested individual as Noor Bin Mustafa, allegedly a resident of Dhaka, Bangladesh. According to police sources, the suspect provided evasive and inconsistent answers during interrogation, raising further suspicions about his intentions and background.

He was later admitted to the Chandankiyari Community Health Center (CHC) for medical evaluation. CHC doctor Kumar Gautam confirmed that the individual appears to be mentally unstable, a condition also noted in the center’s emergency register. Following medical advice, police have referred him to Bokaro General Hospital for further treatment.

The incident has sparked concerns among local residents, with speculation mounting over the presence of an infiltration network operating in the region. The police have intensified search operations in and around the village to track down possible accomplices.

Authorities are also working in coordination with other intelligence and border agencies to verify the suspect’s nationality and investigate the motive behind his presence in Bokaro.

The case has brought renewed focus to border security and illegal immigration concerns in Jharkhand’s sensitive districts.
